I am an international researcher with a PhD in Languages and Letters from UCLouvain. My doctoral thesis explored the first translation of the Qur’an into Hebrew from Arabic during the Jewish Enlightenment in Germany.
My broader research interests lie at the crossroads of languages and cultures in the Eastern and Mediterranean worlds, with a focus on the transfer of scientific and religious knowledge.
I am an expert in Oriental philology, Manuscript Studies, Digital Humanities and Cultural Heritage with +8 years of international experience in research, project management, scientific communication, and collaboration with academic and cultural institutions.
I work with sources in classical Syriac, ancient and modern Hebrew, classical and modern Arabic, classical and Biblical Greek.
In my research, I use a range of computational tools and methods: multilingual corpora analysis, Natural Language Processing (NLP), TEI-XML encoding and enhancement techniques of multispectral images.
Currently, I am building bridges between research and society through public engagement projects in Europe, and beyond.
