After an article in the Swiss journal La Cité, my PhD thesis on the translation of the Qur’an into Hebrew by Hermann Reckendorf (UCLouvain 2015) is receiving renewed attention from professor Maurice-Ruben Hayoun.
Professor Hayoun is an expert in Jewish and Judeo-Arabic medieval philosophy, as well as in the revival of Jewish-German thought from Moses Mendelssohn to Gershom Scholem, Martin Buber, and Franz Rosenzweig. I am honoured to know that he considers my doctoral thesis (to be published) as « an excellent study conducted according to the principles of philology and historical criticism ».
