About

I am an international researcher with a PhD in Languages and Letters – Oriental Studies from UCLouvain. My doctoral thesis examined the earliest Hebrew translation of the Qur’an from Arabic, produced in the context of the Jewish Enlightenment in nineteenth-century Germany.

My broader research interests focus on intercultural knowledge transfer across the Eastern and Mediterranean worlds, with particular attention to the circulation of scientific and religious texts.

My expertise includes philology, Jewish Studies, Manuscript Studies, Digital Humanities and Cultural Heritage. I work with sources in Classical Syriac, Ancient and Modern Hebrew, Classical and Modern Arabic, Classical and Biblical Greek, and Berber. I use a range of computational tools and methods: analysis of multilingual corpora, natural language processing (NLP), TEI-XML encoding, and multispectral image-enhancement techniques.

With over a decade of experience in project management, information analysis, and science communication, I collaborate with cultural institutions and research centres to deliver public-engagement projects which connect research with wider audiences.
